Dear Friends in Christ,

As you know we were in Haiti for three weeks, coming back the tenth of December. That was one month before the earthquake. Some of the pastors we visited with in the Port-Au-Prince area lived in Carrefour which was the epicenter of the quake. We recently had a phone call from one of the pastors and he told me the other pastors we visited were all fine. However, this pastor said they were meeting outside since some of the building they were using collapsed.

We also mentioned the building in the north where we had a church was gone. Haiti had four hurricanes in 2009. We believe it is God’s will for us to help these preachers during this time. It is worse there than you can imagine. If your church could help, you can send donations to our home church.

Everything will be more difficult for a long time. Materials will be harder to come by, more expensive. We feel inadequate to calculate how much is needed considering the situation there. We simply know the need is great and it is urgent.

This would be a good time to be there as people are aware of death. In fact, they could have, but for God’s grace, been in the rubble there. You cannot go in as an individual: only with an organization of some kind. If God’s opens a way I plan to go. Please pray about helping with their buildings and God’s will for me.

Yours for souls still not reached,

Bro. Daylon Hicks
