Dear Friends in Christ,

I trust things are going well with you. We’re doing well physically, as far as we know. At our age there are always little things.

We had a real good SMITE meeting the last of May and into June. There were 2,268 kids who heard the gospel with 798 professing Christ as Savior! I took my usual position as a counselor and going out with a group of boys each afternoon. We praise the Lord for those who were saved. There were also a good number of young people who surrendered their lives to fulltime service. In a world that values big-paying jobs, it is such a blessing to see young people choose a “better part” as did Mary.

I recently helped one of our sons on a job he had. The young man and his wife were having some problems in their marriage. I was able to counsel them twice and won the young lady to the Lord. The husband is not yet saved, but is much more receptive.

My son had another job of installing a set of kitchen cabinets and wanted me to help. I had the privilege to win two ladies who were there to clean the place. I told Lynda if I hadn’t done the physical work there would not have been the opportunity to win those people. Even though many claim to be saved, there are still those who will admit they are sinners.

We working toward getting our prayer booklets translated into other languages: Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian. Please be praying as we seek to get this accomplished.

Yours for souls still not reached,

Bro. Daylon Hicks

P.S.

We recently had the book, “A Concrete Decision” printed by Faith Baptist Church Publications in Ft. Pierce, FL. It is a little technical in the first part, but it answers the questions people have asked and gives a little information about our trip to Haiti. If you are interested, I can send you one for a minimum donation of $10 and I’ll pay the postage (click here if interested). I’m not in the habit of selling books; however it is available if you are interested. We also have another book in the works of stories and events in our ministry in Haiti.
